Privacy Policy

How we collect, use and protect information about your family and student.

Arbor College Counseling ("Arbor") is run by Suhani Garg. This policy explains what information we collect from families and students, why we collect it and how we protect it. It applies to arboradmissions.com and to the counseling services we provide.

What we collect

  • Contact details: student and parent names, email addresses, phone numbers and, when you sign an agreement, a mailing address.
  • Student background: what you share in our forms and sessions, such as grade, school, courses, grades and test scores, activities, interests, goals, college list and, for scholarship work, financial-need information you choose to share.
  • Student work: essays, résumés, activity lists and application materials you send us or place in your shared folder.
  • Session records: booking details and notes from our sessions.
  • Payment records: what you bought, the amount and the date. Card details are entered directly with Stripe; we never see or store your full card number.

How we use it

Only to provide and manage our counseling: to plan and run sessions, review student work, build college, scholarship and opportunity lists, send reminders and follow-ups, process payments and keep our own business records. We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.

Services that help us

We use a small number of trusted providers, each of which handles your information under its own privacy and security terms:

  • Google Workspace (email, Google Drive, Google Meet and Google Sheets) to communicate, hold your private shared folder, run video sessions and keep client records. Session notes may be drafted with Google’s built-in meeting notes tool.
  • Cal.com for booking sessions.
  • Tally for the forms you fill in.
  • Stripe for payments.
  • Our website host, which serves this site.

Who else sees it

Your information is shared only with your own family, with Arbor collaborators (such as an essay editor or former admissions officer) to the extent they need it to help with your student’s work, or when the law requires it. Collaborators are bound by written confidentiality obligations. If we share admission results as part of our counseling outcomes, they are anonymous: we never publish a student’s name, photo, school, location or other identifying details without written permission.

Students

Our services are for students in grades 8 to 12 and their families. A parent or guardian signs up for and pays for services, and we communicate with both the student and the parent. We do not knowingly collect information directly from children under 13 without a parent’s involvement.

How long we keep it

We keep client records while we are working together and for a reasonable time afterwards for our business, tax and legal records. You can ask us to delete your information at any time, and we will do so unless we are required to keep it.

Your choices

You can ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you or your student, or ask us to stop sending reminder emails, by writing to suhani@arboradmissions.com.

This website

This site does not use advertising or tracking cookies. The booking calendar and forms on it are provided by Cal.com and Tally, which may use cookies needed for them to work.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will post the new version here with a new date.
